Anchorage Police are looking for the person responsible for a shooting that claimed one life and wounded two others. On Saturday, October 12, 2002, just before 2:00 a.m., an argument ended in gun fire in the parking lot of the VFW club located in Muldoon at 101 Oklahoma Street. 21-year-old Louis DeJesus III was killed during the shooting. Unsolved Homicide-Richard James Carns February 19, 2002
Anchorage Police need the publics help in solving the murder of Richard James Carns. On February 19, 2002, at about 6 a.m., a man broke into the home where Carns was staying located on the 1900-block of Orca Street. Richard Carns confronted the intruder who pulled out a gun and began shooting. Carns was fatally shot and died at the scene. Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male, in his mid-20`s, average height and weight.

Suspicious Death-Charles Talbert September 24, 1998
Cold case detectives are asking for help in solving a suspicious death case from 1998.
The victim, 41-year-old Charles Talbert, was last seen riding his bicycle during the evening hours of September 24, 1998, in mid-town Anchorage. His body was found two days later at Mile 63 of the Seward Highway at the Johnson`s Pass Trailhead. Investigators say his death is suspicious.

Unsolved Homicide-Joseph Massey March 02, 1996
Anchorage Police are asking for your help in solving the homicide of Joseph Bruce Massey. On March 2, 1996, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Massey was shot while he was a passenger in a blue Nissan four door sedan near 5th Avenue and H Street. Suspect(s) were last seen driving a red and black Ford full sized Bronco, a silver and grey Ford Contour, and a red and white Ford Bronco. A black male from the red and black Ford Bronco started an altercation in which the suspect then pulled a gun and shot at the victim. There were several other shots fired at the same time.

Anchorage Police are asking for your help in solving the homicide of John Michael Martin. On Wednesday, May 11, 1994, Mr. Martin was seen alone at the Village Inn Restaurant located at 1130 East Northern Lights Blvd. drinking coffee. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Mr. Martin left the restaurant to walk home, a distance of about 2.4 miles. At 3:00 a.m., Mr. Martin`s body was found just off the bicycle path on Northern Lights Blvd. to the west of Princeton Drive; he had suffered a gunshot wound.

Shawna Evon`s body was found shortly after midnight on June 8, 1991, behind a building at 529 C Street. Her body was lying in an entryway on the north side of the building and was partially covered by a wooden pallet. At the time of her death, the building was a bar called the "Monkey Wharf." Shawna died as a result of blunt trauma to her head. Shawna, known by her friends as "Twinkie," had been reported missing by her mother on April 22, 1991.
